How Has Being In A Sorority Helped You Grow?
Being in a sorority means being surrounded by empowered women who strive to become the best version of their self everyday, and push me towards being the best version of myself. It means being working alongside intelligent, passionate, female leaders who aim at making the community and the world a better place!
What Are Some Of Your Interests?I have a passion for knowledge and thinking, hence the major in Philosophy, I enjoy learning new things, and thinking critically about multifaceted concepts. I also enjoy sports, I played high performance soccer for over 10 years, and I also dabbled in volleyball, basketball, cross country, as well as track. Some other interests of mine include: painting, reading, writing, listening to music, and playing with my dogs!
TOP 3 Goals For UBC Sororities This Year… 1. Promote Mental Health and Wellbeing resources to our members through social media campaigns and initiatives.
2. Revise the "Panhellenic Resources for Sexual Misconduct" document alongside SVPRO. I am hoping to include the steps towards the legal route of reporting, transparent policies from individual greek organizations, and further resources off campus. The goal is to be transparent as possible as to the options available to survivors. 3. Combat the historic and ongoing systemic racism and discrimination that exists within the greek system by creating a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. Additionally, I hope to work with the DEI Committee to create several educational workshops for our members, as well as work with UBC's Equity and Inclusion Office to conduct an internal audit of our organization. |
